The changes are largely to suit US manufacturing methods are relatively small, the principal exterior difference is the addition of a heat shield above the barrel. The Minimi has earned a reputation for reliability. It is unusual in being able to fire from an M-16-type magazine or a belt without any modification having to be made. Improved M-79
In the later years of the Project, it was recognized that the venerable M-79 was in need of serious upgrading. The Improved M-79 replaces the wooden stock of the M-79 with a folding stock (the same as mounted to the G36). A pistol grip and a synthetic forestock were added. Perhaps the best upgrade was the replacement of the M-79s leaf sight with an Occluded Eye Gunsight, a x3.5 sight designed for the vibration of low-velocity grenades. All surfaces are coated with an anticorrosion coating and permanent lubrication is provided for all moving parts.

The M-136 (also known as the AT4 or oeeighty-four) is a lightweight, simple and effective disposable weapon for use against armored targets. A completely new warhead design gives a secondary behind-armor effect in the form of a high-pressure rise and flash, thus producing a blinding and incendiary effect in addition to armor penetration.

Armbrust 300 Light Anti Armor Weapon
A German-designed weapon that is actually a recoilless shell launcher using a countermass to eliminate recoil. This allows the Armbrust to be fired within enclosed spaces (one of the very few launchers capable of doing so). The countermass design also traps all of the smoke and much of the noise (little louder than a pistol shot), thus making the detection of an Armbrust launch very difficult.
                    Caliber: 67mm
                    Operation: Manual
Type of Fire: Single shot disposable

                    M-3 Carl Gustav Recoilless Rifle
This is a recoilless weapon designed primarily for use against tanks, but can also be used in a variety of roles. The weapon consists of a rifled tube with a rear-mounted, up-rotating venturi, a sprung bipod-cum-shoulder rest, a pistol-grip firing mechanism and a forward handgrip. An open or telescopic sight can be fitted. The oeCharlie-G is normally operated from the shoulder. A round is loaded from the rear into the breech with the venturi open. Firing is mechanical by a hand-cocked, percussion-operated detonator located in a tube on the right side of the barrel. In addition, a two-pressure trigger and safety catch are provided. As with other multi-purpose systems, a variety of ammunition is manufactured. The main round is a HEAT projectile, but anti-personnel, smoke and illuminating rounds are also available. A newly designed oeheavy HEAT projectile has been placed in service, which allows greater armor penetration.

M-152 TOW II Anti Tank Guided Missile
TOW, which stands for Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided missile is perhaps the single most common ATGW in the world today. The basic mount is man-portable and capable of being spilt into four units. These are the tripod, launcher, electronic signals generator and the tracking optical sensor. The missile in its container is loaded into the launcher, and electrical connections are made through the container as it is loaded. The wings and control surfaces are folded at this stage but open on ejection. In flight, two wires, through which command signals are transmitted, unreel from the missile. So long as the operator tracks the target in his sight, automatic corrections are made by a sensor to keep the missile on the correct course, the operator does not have to make any range or lead calculations. The Project issue version is the TOW IIC, which can be set for direct or overhead attack.

                      FIM-92 Stinger Anti Aircraft Missile
Entered Project service in 1979. It can engage approaching as well as receding targets and also oblique targets before they reach the crossing point. An IFF feature is incorporated in the aiming unit. The missile is resistant to jamming and is not affected by such heat distracters as flares. It has a top speed of Mach 2.2, thus enabling to engage many high-speed targets. A passive infrared homing seeker is used that makes the Stinger into a fire-and-forget weapon. A laser guidance system is also available where the operator tracks the target through a lightweight, stabilized sight that aligns the laser beam for target intercept by the missile.
                      Caliber: 75mm

                        NICO Stun
This grenade is a canister type, carrying 8 submunitions that eject out of the top. There is no fragmentation with this type. As each submunition is expelled from the canister, it flies in a random pattern and flashes after a 0.5-second delay. The flashes range from175-185 decibels and 1,000,000 candelas in intensity. They are carefully engineered to be above the temporary disabling level but not of such intensity as to cause permanent physical damage. The blast and shock cause temporary psycho- and physiological disorientation, preventing any voluntary acts on the part of those exposed to the effects. The duration is short term, lasting from 5-15 seconds and effecting those within a 10-meter radius.
                        Weight: 0.275kg
                        Effective Throwing Range: 35m

                        Package Weight: 15.5kg
The reason that the American Army does so well in wartime, is that war is chaos, and the American Army practices chaos on a daily basis.

                          Weapons: Mines

                          M-14 Antipersonnel
This mine is designed to injure only one person. It detonates with 9kg of pressure. It is a plastic mine that is easily neutralized and defused, it is very susceptible to overpressure.
                          Weight: 0.1kg
                          Burst Radius: 0.13m
                          Packaging: 150 per case
                          Package Weight: 19kg

                          M-15 Antitank
This mine explodes when the pressure plate is subjected to more than 160kg of pressure or the tilt rod is tilted more than 15 degrees. An individual is unlikely to set it off. The mine may also be remote detonated (up to 50 meters away). The mine is easy to defuse and very susceptible to overpressure.
                          Weight: 14.3kg
                          Burst Radius: 54m
                          Packaging: 2 per case
                          Package Weight: 34kg

                          M-16A1 Antipersonnel
This mine, when fired, throws a shell 1-meter into the air. When the shell explodes, it hurls steel balls over a 30-meter radius. This mine will fire from either pressure or up to two 10-meter tripwires. It detonates on 3.6kg of pressure or by means of a tripwire. It is unaffected by overpressure.
                          Weight: 3.6kg
                          Burst Radius: 30m
                          Packaging: 4 per case
                          Package Weight: 20.25kg

                          M-18A1 Claymore Antipersonnel
This mine acts as a giant shotgun shell. The mines blast sends fragmentation out in a cone 100m long and 50m wide and 2m high at its end. The mine is issued in a canvas bandoleer with an M57 electrical firing device (called a oeclacker) and an M-4 blasting cap with 30 meters of firing wire. The Claymore can be command detonated or rigged to two tripwires. The Claymore is easy to defuse and is unaffected by overpressure.
                          Weight: 1.6kg
                          Burst Radius: 16m (100x50m fan)
Packaging: 1 per bandoleer, 6 per case
                          Package Weight: 23.85kg

                          M-19 Antitank
A non-metallic blast mine made entirely of plastic. The mine is designed to destroy armored vehicles but may also be used as a packaged demolition charge. The explosive charge is equal to 8.815kg of C-4. This mine requires 160kg of pressure or that its tilt rod be tilted more than 15 degrees. The mine can also be remote detonated (up to 50 meters away). It is susceptible to overpressure.
                          Weight: 12.6kg
                          Burst Radius: 48m
                          Packaging: 2 per case
                          Package Weight: 36kg

                          M-21 Antitank
This mine requires 132kg to explode, or 1.7kg of pressure on its tilt rod fuse. It may also use a magnetic or pneumatic tube fuse (when a vehicle weighing more than 400kg passes over it, the fuses will activate). A mine detector is likely to detonate the magnetic fuse, as well as probing with a knife blade. The mine is easily disabled once found, but it is totally resistant to overpressure.
                          Weight: 8kg
                          Burst Radius: 30m
                          Packaging: 2 per case
                          Package Weight: 19kg

                          M-25 Antipersonnel
This small blast mine is directional and designed to puncture a tire or wound a foot. It is emplaced by simply pressing it into the ground.
                          Weight: 0.077kg
                          Burst Radius: 0.156m
                          Packaging: 150 per case
                          Package Weight: 18.5kg

                          M-26Antipersonnel
This is another bounding antipersonnel mine. It is of a newer design than the M-16A1, but operates similarly. It is harder to defuse than the M-16A1, and is unaffected by overpressure.
                          Weight: 1kg
                          Burst Radius: 15m
                          Packaging: 10 per case
                          Package Weight: 13kg

                          M-88 Pursuit Denial Munition (PDM)
This mine is designed to be used to foil pursuit by enemy forces. It is easy to set and may be simply dropped in the enemys path. They are small (57x85mm) and can be easily missed by a rapidly moving group. They are difficult to disarm and are immune to overpressure. Once the safety pin is pulled, the mine becomes active thirty seconds later.
                          Weight: 0.54kg
                          Burst Radius: 2m
                          Packaging: 24 per case
                          Package Weight: 17kg
The reason that the American Army does so well in wartime, is that war is chaos, and the American Army practices chaos on a daily basis.

If you want to get very up to date on demolitions, the military has been jettisoning the time fuse/det cord systems in recent years, in favor of shock tubes.

Of course, there are many jolly uses for det cord that shock tubes can't perform (tree cutting for example).
