  • Foxfire and Hesperian books

    Good evening,

Im sitting here, intermittently browsing the forums and looking at my bookshelves, and realize that the Hesperian books and the Foxfire books make useful idea fodder and background information for games (and occasional real life situations).

    Anyhow, I wanted to share.

Discover Foxfire! Hike through history at our Appalachian Village made up of historic log structures, each home to various artifacts representative of life in the mountains. Learn all the spacious outdoor museum offers.

    Thank you,

"Where There Is No Doctor" is an excellent resource for living in a post-apocalyptic world (whether you're in the Morrow Project or not).

"The Last Whole Earth Catalog" had a lot of useful "living off the grid" stuff, but you'd have to pack in a lot of not-quite-so-useful stuff as well. Plus, of course, it's really a catalog ... you might cry bitter teams in your bunker, gazing on page after page of useful tools.

Not a book, but similar useful information, can be found at https://answers.practicalaction.org/
