Do we need a glossary/ Acronym listing

Im my last ~100 word post I threw out the Terms "Reforger" "POMCUS" and if I didn't put a wikipedia link in would have also used "CRAF". I think most people get these terms but I know not everyone does.

I am thinking about creating a new sub forum locked with either one or two posts. The Glossary definitions and Acronym breakdowns would either have their own threads or be mixed together.

The reason I would go with a sub forum is that I can change the permissions to allow any registered member to make additions or changes. You can only do that at the forum level not thread level.

If I go through and manage it I could also make it linkable via something like this [define]Term[/define].

There are a few other solutions I am looking at since it never makes sense to reinvent the wheel, but before I went any further is there any interest interested in using or editing a definition list.

    Edit
I just realized that using my [wiki] tags I probably could have linked to both of the terms I thought might have confusion. Still interested in everyone's opinion of a glossary though.

Well that sounds good to me. Until I read through your whole post Kato I thought it sounded like a nightmare for you of having to update the list every time new suggestions were made but if individuals can add acronyms as they think of them and you only have to review for relevance/problems then I think it is virtually a must-have.

      What he said.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I know basically what Reforger is, but POMCUS threw me until this morning whin I had an epiphany

Definitely a good idea as it took me a little time to figure out what TWW meant.
