The chart is from Macksey's "First Clash", it's a part novel, part thinking exercise on how the opening battles of a Cold War Gone Hot might be found. The scenario is that 4CMBG is moving into position to buy time for US VII Corps to re-organize.

I'd like to do the unit in micro-armour, and I wish there was an inexpensive way to build a 1/35th Leopard C-1.

      Cool thanks for the info.

Nice to see people use the archive.

I am also into miniatures but I went 1:285

Me too, I think the GHQ Leopard 1A4 is 'close enough' to a C1 in 1/285th. I'm thinking of being crazy and doing the Royal Canadian Dragoons 1-1.

There's a Canadian model maker that makes a set to turn a 1/35 Leopard 1A3 into a C1, but it's really expensive. The Meng 1A3/A4 is so close, but the detail differences make it easier to use a new turret. I'm afraid that after I save up and drop the $200 USD it'd take, then Meng or someone will just release a C1 in plastic.

One thing I was thinking is what the RCD would have in the Twilight War, would they get the C2, or C2 MEXAS upgrades, or still have C1s Takom make a nice 1/35 C2 that I'm thinking of for my skirmish game.

I have quite a large 1:285 collection acquired from various sources, I split my storage by nationality so I took my leopards from CiNC (www.pfc-cinc.com) and used them for my Canadian forces. They don't look the same as the GHQ ones (which I use for my German forces) so it is easier to separate them.

The guy who made this page also used the CiNC ones

That's a great idea. The CinC ones look nice and are a little cheaper.

I'm watching the MEXAS upgrades; some of them are basically composite armor blocks, giving the vehicle a big leap in protection. And they're not prohibitively heavy in most cases.

Oh, that makes sense. Thanx for posting it, and thanx for the clarification.
