Cool find. It shows what folks can do with a machine shop, a little know-how, and a lot of balls. I figure pretty much everything shown in the slides could be done c. 2000 in the Twilight World.

By the way, the weapon in slide #25 is produced by FN, a Belgian company.
Author of Twilight 2000 adventure modules, Rook's Gambit and The Poisoned Chalice, the campaign sourcebook, Korean Peninsula, the gear-book, Baltic Boats, and the co-author of Tara Romaneasca, a campaign sourcebook for Romania, all available for purchase on DriveThruRPG:

25 is an FN2000, it's been around for a while now and FN are known to sell to allot of governments. most of gaddafis forcesare mercs and they tend to pick up quite a collection of kit.

Having one of their main products in the hands of someone like gaddafi could cause a few PR problems for the company however.

FN F2000 with matching EGLM 40mm UBGL (made by H&K specially for FN).

Ahhh, thank you for the correction. I was thinking it was one of the trial weapons for the ACR here in the US a few years back. Almost made my head explode!

And in the Morrow Project forum, someone was interested in the Dshk... those photos above should give you all the imagery you could ever want for jury-rigged Dshk's and pick-ups!

You say it like it's a bad thing

FN Herstal is currently one of the biggest arms suppliers. these are the guys who make the FN FAL which has been called the AK47 of the west as most western backed nations use it as their battle rifle. There are allot of FALs knocking about in libya actualy.

My WiFi connection is slow today.

I should clarify that it's the UBGL that's made by H&K, not the rifle itself.
