Sunrise and Sunset times

It is very useful. On a related note, I've mentioned in other threads that knowing the date and location you're at, and having some sort of almanac with sunrise and sunset times, would allow you to make accurate corrections to timekeeping devices which in turn is invaluable for navigation where dead reckoning is not possible (such as navigating at sea). I use Weather Underground:
Weather Underground provides local & long-range weather forecasts, weather reports, maps & tropical weather conditions for locations worldwide
if you scroll down, you will find the 'almanac' section, which is really useful for matching historical weather with the date in question.
"Good luck, you're on your own - and the weather at 6:00am on July 18, 2000, is scattered clouds with a 10-knot wind from the west..."
