                            A half pounder cannon!!! Bore/gauge is number of lead balls bore sized to make a pound. The 2-gauge also has a bore of 1.326" (33.67mm). A frikin' cannon!!

                              I've seen about as bad, if not worse, in St Etienne's guns and cycles manufacture's 1900 catalogue : the '37mm canardire canon' - a 37mm duck gun.

                              Which was also declined in an almost exactly identical version as a defense gun for yachts and other boats.

                              Gun laws at that time were fairly lenient...

                              That catalogue also held a lot of fun guns, including some borderline insane revolvers aimed apaprently at the balkan area's market. Things like a 20-shots, twin-barelled .38 revolver.
