Star Wars (the West End Games variant), Traveller, and Top Secret SI (the latter back in high school/JC-did the paramilitary side of things; counterterrorism, discrete commando raids, etc.) In Star Wars, I'm a Rebel Privateer, and in Traveller, (in JC) we were privateers who were notorious for selling our services to either the Imperium, Subsector, or planetary governments-as long as the Imperium's interests were never threatened, we were left alone, and even were hired by IRIS (Imperial Research and Investigation Service) for "black" operations. I still do Star Wars from time to time, raiding Imperial Shipping (and pro-Imperial corporations) for the Alliance, in return for a pardon and 50% of the take.

I played Dungeons and Dragons, versions 1 & 2 for years. I've got a copy of the Top Secret/SI, never played it, but I really like thier rules system. I've modified it to work for a Twilight setting, and if I can ever round up enough players that's the system I plan to use.

I think the James Bond RPG system is very good. Capable of small adjustments (it is actually more than a D100 game, it goes into degrees of success and you can have a >100% chance of doing something), great rules for chase/pursuit situations (something most RPGs lack) and a consistent rules system is used in all situations, which makes the game feel like a well put together unit.

My gaming system of choice is a Heavily modified version of the Timelord/CORPS system. It comes from the same people who came up with the 3G3 system so I consider the base to be pretty solid. I have probably pulled rules from over a dozen gaming systems though, using the "Absorb what is useful" philosophy of my namesake.

I have used my system for a long term Dark Conspiracy game, a couple of short T2k games and for a future Morrow/Phoenix Project Mix (hopefully). Still have some interest in 2nd Edition DnD but I am not sure I can ever get a group together.

I've always liked the idea of playing a space privateer. You get to be a good guy and do bad guy stuff (i.e. piracy).

I'm interested in Traveller. I'm trying to find out more about it but there are so many different versions out there that it gets a bit confusing.

Mainly the other games I either run or play are: Star Wars (the D6 version done by West End Games), other D6 system games, and Epic RPG (a fantasy roleplaying game that uses 2D10). I've also run, but not for some time, games like Star Trek (FASA version), Chill, and Space: 1889.

One thing about playing a privateer: make sure you've got your backside covered JIC the folks sponsoring you decide you're a liability and need to be eliminated. Happened to us once in Traveller (planetary government hired us and after fulfilling our letter of marque, they decided we were more useful to them as shot-up wrecks and corpses floating home. Got out of the ambush with two of three ships, and most of the crew still breathing, but the ones who weren't so fortunate were either killed in battle or were...disposed of later). We simply went to a neighboring system, who had disagreements with our previous employers, and they hired us then and there to go out and enrich ourselves at the previous system's expense. Did a good enough job that the planetary government fell via a coup d'etat and a more...agreeable regime installed that suited all parties admriably, except for those who were overthrown and executed....

I run a Harnmaster/Gunmaster campaign set in Harn's multiverse (which includes Middle Earth) and I play in a campaign (set in the same multiverse) which is run by MajorPo. In the past I've run and played in campaigns using dozens of systems including Traveller, Traveller:2300, Runequest, Dragon Warriors, various kinds of D&D, Millenium's End, Mechwarrior, Paranoia... heaps of others I can't remember right now.

Merc. I like the modern day setting, the v2.2 ruleset is quite good ;-)

Well, apart from the "...besides T2k..." ...

I'm currently playing in D&D 4e and Corporation games, with a Deadlands game coming up once our current D&D scenario finishes. I'm also playing PbP games of GURPS 4e (Black Ops campaign) and Wushu (Star Trek TNG era).

Have played and would like to play again games of Cyberpunk 2020, Dragon Warriors, Tunnels & Trolls and Savage Worlds. I have several campaign ideas, but not enough time for face-to-face gaming beyond the D&D & Corporation games I'm in, and I can never find sufficient interested players online for PbP. My CP2020 game died at birth, was resurrected with different players and stumbled on for a few months before two players stopped posting except to answer the roll call and make excuses why they we weren't posting . My LRDG game using Savage Worlds got no interest whatsoever

Thanks O'Borg, how could I forget the Cyberpunk:2020 and Gunmaster:2020 campaigns I have run Silly me. My Gunmaster:2020 campaign was one of the most enjoyable campaigns I've ever run. Once again MajorPo (the player not the character) was terrifying as the leader of the pack. He played a psychotic former drug dealer who had moved into the black market arms trade. He had plastic firearms (that fired real bullets) with his business card details printed on them and would hand them out on the streets, even to children.

It would be a long list were I to mention all the games I've played more than once. In the last fifteen years, I've almost exclusively run GURPS. I currently run two online GURPS chat-based games, one slightly non-canonical Deadlands and the other weird WWII (currently Dec 2, 1941, with the PCs in Honolulu). The only other games I've run the last five years (one session of each) is BESM, Talistlanta, d6 Star Wars and Fudge. I had a campaign that ran from 2003-7 which was a police campaign in a setting roughly based on Shadorun (but more like Dark Conspiracy), which also used GURPS 3e.
                            A generous and sadistic GM,
