  • Hell on Wheels Editing

Ive been making some progress on a project I started last Autumn called Hell on Wheels: Gun Trucks in Northern New England in 2001. I have scads of material, which is part of the problem. Im on the fence about what information needs to be in such a guide and how some of that information ought to be presented. It occurred to me that a few of you here might be willing to provide feedback and do a touch of copy editing of a preliminary version. Once I have the text in place, my wife, who is a graphic designer/publisher in the corporate world, will help put the final product together.

Authors note: this will be different than Turboswedes excellent Mexican Army Guide. I wont have anything like the number of photos or some of the other cool factors that make his work so good. Im more focused on the gun trucks themselves and the factors that led to my version of northern New England being different from the Howling Wilderness version.

When the text (only) is ready, Ill post it here for serious, constructive feedback. Ill need comments like oemore of this, oeless of this, and oemodify this such that

Ugh. Got no work done last night or the night before. Kids, rabbits, wife, house. It's a wonder I get any sleep. Lots of material just waiting to be edited into a product, though.
