  • Do we have a clear number of how many strategic warheads the Soviets had in '85?

one that can be openly discussed

I'm trying to do some math here.

Note this includes mobile ICBMs and SLBMs.

My take on the Strategic Rocket Forces for mid-1997: https://docs.google.com/openid=0B1iW...kpXOXhzOUVwTGs

My version of the Soviet SSBN force is at http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeedox4/s...s_t2k_1996.xls

I'll see if I can find my document on the bomber force for T2k.

      Enjoy!
I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

I don't think Russia herself has any idea of how many warheads she has anymore...
