This small German city was ground zero for a Cold War turned hot
I find this blog is usually a pretty good read but this in particular I couldn't help posting here (even them I'm pretty sure anybody reading has probably forgotten more about the Fulda Gap than the writer knows).
For some reason this post was flagged as possible spam and held for moderation. Sorry about that. I think it was due to it being your first new thread and containing a link.
In T2K the Soviets never came rolling through the Fulda Gap as everybody was expecting them to because the Germans started the war themselves and sent the Bundeswehr across the inter-German border with NVA assistance and attacked the Soviets in East Germany.
