Mmm, chilly. There are populated parts of the east coast of Australia that have hit 49 degrees C (120 degrees F) this week. Admittedly that is unusual unless you're in the desert.

OK, -20C is around -5F. Yeah, that's a bit on the cold side for a high. Here in WI if it gets below 0F, you're allowed to gripe about it being cold. Where I am, the forecast for Monday gives us a high of -11F (-24C). It's January; you gotta expect it at least once or twice.
Heh, the Fort Lauderdale site. Just last night I saw an article about some town in Florida cancelling an event because of "bitter cold". I had no idea 50 degrees (10C) qualified as "bitter cold". I always thought 50 degrees meant you might want to bring a sweatlacket in case it cools down after sunset.
