  • Targan keeps losing his pets....

Sheesh, Targan, do we need to build a caged zoo to keep your pets on a leash

By Barbara Liston ORLANDO, Fla. (Reuters) - Golfers at a course in Florida on Wednesday were careful to putt around a large alligator, days after the beast was photographed lounging on the edge of the green in an image that went viral on Facebook. A women's tournament went on as planned at the Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood, on Florida's west coast, as the gator, estimated at 12 to 13 feet (3.6 to 4 meters) long, reposed in full view of about 100 participants, said Mickie Zada, the club's general manager.

Though granted, this is a gator as opposed to a croc. Still....get a look at those snappers, eh

Reminds me of a bit of dialogue from Smokey and the Bandit:

Sheriff Buford T. Justice and his dimwitted son are driving down the road and see an alligator crossing it.

"Wow, Pa! Look at that big 'gator crossin' the road!"

"That reminds me, boy, I gotta call your mama tonight."

"The use of force is always an answer to problems. Whether or not it's a satisfactory answer depends on a number of things, not least the personality of the person making the determination. Force isn't an attractive answer, though. I would not be true to myself or to the people I served with in 1970 if I did not make that realization clear."

Them's fightin' words. My gators is twice the soulless killers your mealy-mouthed crocs are.

On Ft. Stewart, there's a training area that is also an active alligator habitat -- makes for interesting maneuvers for dismounted infantry.

My alligator is smart. He knows folks will want to cuddle with him. If they're too big to eat right then, he goes home with them and eats their pets. That crocodile is dumb. He thinks someone is just going to walk up to his lazy a** and jump in his mouth. How many men does he think the British Olympic team has
