According to an excel file I have with 6500 power plants active in 2001 only 4 Photo voltaic systems were active and their output was tiny in comparison to the entire grid. There was total output of 437 kWT per hour.

There are two grouped in AZ and two grouped in CA
Agua Fria Maricopa AZ 85072 64KWT
Solar Sacramento CA 95638 373KWT

THe largest solar plant in the US in 2001 was not Photovoltaic it involved solar reflection to hear liquids to spin turbines.

Not the generation numbers do not reflect maximum capacity as for obvious reasons solar plants cannot operate 24 hours a day.

What I seem to have a hard time finding is basically factories in the US or any other place for that matter...

you know where they make everything...hehe ...It can't all be made in China

....how would a T2K scenario in China be btw

I know of and have been to or at least driven by 2 favcilites Solar 1 and Solar II, 1 is in the mojave near Barstow the other near the town of Zzyyxx yes thats its name.

Large scale factories would be tracked by the EPA, I'll check those databases when I have a little time.

I just spent a hour or so discussing ways to reduce costs on a hydraulic power pack for photo voltaics somebody wants to do a 100000 of them in the near future if we get the order I'll pass along where they will be mounted.
Thats a lot of solar electric
