This needed a split as it will probably draw a lot of posts.
I was actually going to repost this (we had it at our old home) after I had time to redo my score. I think I had a score in the 60% range last time. I think I "won" by a significant margin.
do you have surgically alterered your ears to Spock ears Kato...
No, but i did wear ears to a Star Trek convention when I was 9 or 10. Given at times in my life I have had obsessions with Sci-Fi, RPGs, science, linguistics, and anything related to logic, I am not surprised by my score. The fact that I have been a programmer since I was 12 did not hurt either.
I also gave myself all bonus points as I have played video games for over 100 hours straight (followed by a 30 mile hike in medium gear as part of a series of experiments to determine my physical limits) and I have not only fixed my glasses (as stereotypical geeks do) I actually made a pair myself as I had a friend whose family owned an eyecare store.
It is funny I did not realize I was a nerd until my early 20s.
I still remember the exact moment. I was on my way to a New Year's Eve party. I was sitting in the back seat of a car reading a Klingon Dictionary (it was a Christmas gift) by the light of the Mini Maglight I was holding in my teeth.
I exclaimed "Oh my god, I am a nerd". Guess I failed a few observation rolls before that moment.
34.714%- Total Geek....I wonder if I am underachieving
