  • Yahoo T2k forum game looking for players.

I copied this from the yahoo t2k group. Figured there might be some interest here.

T2K-RDF is a Twilight 2000 campaign set in the Middle East using the Twilight 2000 "RDF Sourcebook" as the principal background.

Characters are members of the US military battling the Soviets, the Iranians and various insurgents.

Characters can be from the 9th Mot, 24th Mech, 82nd Airborne or 101st Air assault. Ranger tabs are ok, though no Ranger Regiment or Special Forces characters are allowed. No Navy, Marines or Air Force either please. The
unit of the majority of players will be the unit of the group.

Perosnal gear will be at a minumum and unit gear will depend on the character's unit.

    Interested players and lurkers welcome!

Figures that as soon as I'm seriously considering starting up a T2K PbP set in the Persian Gulf, someone beats me to the punch.

    Maybe this a sign.

Didn't mean to undercut you. Had a new member asking about play by post games and rather than just telling him figured I would tell everyone. It is a big internet though. I'm sure two similar games can run at the same time.

I believe it's a fellow named John Rowe. IIRC, I've played briefly in a couple of his PBeMs. IMHO, he's a good GM. I found, though, that PBeMs just aren't my cup of tea.

Kato, I was just kidding around; I'll probably still go ahead with my planned PbP.

Same here. But gaming sessions with my group are so thin on the ground now that I might have to consider them just to get my gaming fix unfortunately.

When he decided to tell me about my service in the US Army as if I didn't even know I was wearing a uniform, and that how we did things in the US Army was a big joke, I got a bitter taste in my mouth.

The salt in the wound was when he started to be consistently condescending with me because he knew I was US military.

To sum it, the guy is a prick, and a LOT of people don't like him, including others here that may just not want to mention it.

An Australian schoolteacher(or so I hear that is what he is) with no prior service or any INKLING of an experience of what military life is like has no right acting the way he did toward me.

That is just my two Abraham Lincolns on this.
