  • More Agressive Spam fighting

Today I deleted my first user where I was not 100% sure they were a spammer as they were not listed in the spammer registry I use.

    This user has
Registered on 8 military related boards in the last hour.
Has a previous history of attempting to sell Airsoft products
Comes from an IP address in Nigeria.
A related email address (found side by side in an old airsoft sales post) is in the spammer database.

We get about 10 spammer users per real user now (as most of our small group have already found us). Given those types of number I am of course afraid of false positives.

Just letting any users know that if you get deleted in error please send me a message via the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page and I will make sure it does not happen again.

Also if you for some reason cannot get past the email registration I can flip that registration flag for you.

Seems like they were a 100% in my book!
    You did the right thing.
If it moves, shoot it, if not push it, if it still doesn't move, use explosives.

Nothing happens in isolation - it's called "the butterfly effect"

Wait! Don't block him. I've heard about this kind of thing. He could be an exhiled prince! This guys have tons of money but he probably needs us to hide it for him so that his enemies can't steal it from him. If we help him, he'll let us keep part of it! All we have to do is share our bank account info with him so that he can transfer all of that money into our accounts and he'll give us millions for our help! What a golden opportunity! Kato, what have you done I hope it's not too late...

Seriously, though, thanks for keeping these jokers out of our hair, Kato.

Yeah I was 99.9% sure but I hope for this to be the first of several tagged "support" threads which will get added to the forum map.

          Good work Kato.

Nice to know someone is "standing up for my rights, as a consumer" (Douglas in "Breaking Down").

Even here in Italy they use the story of the false exhiled prince
